Built by Alan Douglas-Haydon with technical help from Colin Bennett.

This is a novice, first-timer DCC controlled layout based ‘somewhere in Germany’ in the early 1950s.

It is a simple ‘round and round’ layout with a central goods yard a small industrial area and raised City wall to the rear. Most of the buildings are scratch-built in card except the brewery (Metcalf), the station and repair shed. Size: 4’0” x 2’8”. All track is Peko Settrack and points are set manually.

Eswar Einmal roughly translated means ‘there was once’ or ‘once upon a time’ and refers back to the owners boyhood in post war Germany as an occupation forces RAF brat.
